Dr Walter B Mantooth Jr a 52 year old former Lub bork dermatologist now of Galveston was found with a bullet wound in the bathtub of an Inn apartment at 48251. Wayne LeCroy said a pistol was present and police believed the doctor died on scene but he was transported to Methodist Hospital by ambulance. Mantooth retired in July after 20 years here and moved to Galveston with his wife they were visiting. Visitation and funeral services are set for 10 a m Monday at the First Christian Church with Rev Neil Guy officiating.
