Former President Lyndon B. Johnson, age 62, is in satisfactory condition at Brook Army General Hospital in San Antonio with mild viral pneumonia. Doctors say heart risk is remote and rest with inhalation therapy and medications are prescribed. Johnson has suffered an intermittent cough since January 8 and is under care with Mrs. Johnson by his side.

A Pentagon spokesman said Vietnam command structure will be reorganized but General Creighton W Abrams will remain commander. No changes planned this year and speculation Abrams may be replaced by General Weyand was not confirmed.
A violent Arctic storm lashed the Northwest with winds up to 175 mph and heavy rains melting snowpack raising flood threats while coastal rivers rise. Strong winds toppled a wall at a Dothan Alabama telephone building and a trailer house flipped near Americus. President Nixon left Washington for Camp David as forecasters warned of windy, cooler weather in the South but no new precipitation.
