Train Hits Grain Cars Near Tulsa
Three wandering grain cars rolled onto the Santa Fe main line near Tulia south of the city limits. A Slatonio Amarillo freight train struck them at about 8 15 p m causing two grain cars to derail and four of the five diesel power units to be damaged. Swisher County Sheriff Dar rell Smith said the cars probably moved from a siding onto the main line. The mishap occurred about one fourth mile south of Tulia.

Allegheny Flight Crash Near Bradford Kills 11
An Allegheny Airlines propjet crashed while landing in light snow near Bradford regional airport killing at least 11. Seventeen survived, one in serious condition.
