Declared Independence Page Found in City Bookstore Scrapbook
A first edition copy of the Declaration of Independence dated July 4 1776 will be auctioned in Philadelphia for more than 30000. One of seven known copies, it was found in a musty corner of Learys bookstore along with colonial money and letters from prominent figures in a scrapbook compiled by John W Dixon. The store plans a Jan 14 liquidation sale.
