Jury Reverses Speeding Conviction In County Court

A six member jury in County Court at Law No 2 reversed a speeding conviction against William Lamon Bates. Bates of 2135 57th St was fined 10 dollars and costs after a justice court ruling for driving 75 mph in a 60 mph zone. The jury cited Bates extensive driving experience about 60 000 miles yearly and the prima facie speed law allowing judgment based on road conditions.
