Sale Of Two Small Engines Is Revealed
City hall announced sales of two standby engines from the electric plant. Hughes Aircraft in California and the Thomas brothers in Grassland, near Post, bought 3110 horsepower units for 5000 dollars each. The remaining 300 horsepower Fairbanks Morse engine may also be sold. The city needs space for four new large engines installed in five years and an upcoming 3200 horsepower unit aims to secure power during the emergency.
