Robertson Funeral To Be Held Today
Slaton Texas February 10 Special funeral services are set for Briggs Robertson 52 pioneer resident and civic leader who died Friday morning of a heart attack in Temple. The Slaton Board of City Development directs will host pallbearers while Veterans of Foreign Wars district commander Robertson plans a part in the service. Survivors include two brothers Paul Robertson Abilene and A L Robertson Slaton and one sister Mrs W H Sewell Sr Slaton.

UNRRA to Shift 2000 Personnel to France for Germany Occupation
UNRRA announced 2,000 staff will move to France on stand by to aid the German occupation and handle displaced Europeans. The plan follows an agreement between Gen. Eisenhower and Direct General Herbert H. Lehman with Allied military supervision guiding UNRRA’s role. Sixty percent of staff will be from Europe, about 1,200, with the remaining 800 from American and British forces.
