Parolee Held For Murder In Lubbock Shooting
A daylight gun battle on Main Street between Avenues K and L left Det. Patrolman Larry Jack Stevens dead and parolee James Emanus wounded. Emanus, an ex convict, was in fair condition at St Mary’s Hospital. Investigators filed murder with malice charges against Emanus as the case moved to Justice of the Peace Wayne LeCroy’s office.
