Casals Says No Real Music Left, Turns 90 in Puerto Rico
Cellist Pablo Casals, age 90, laments lack of honest music and great composers in a pre birthday interview from his Puerto Rico home. He praises Bach Mozart Brahms and Beethoven while criticising modern and pop music as noisy and clever. Casals still performs next spring in Omaha and Mines in his lifelong pursuit of simple sincere music.
