Lubbock Youth Killed When Car Overturns Near Slaton
William Henry Patterson twenty one of 1710 Twenty third street was killed early Sunday when his 1938 Ford convertible overturned at least seven times after hitting two posts along the Lubbock Slaton highway about .7 mile north of Slaton. The crash occurred between 2:00 and 4:20 am. He was thrown from the vehicle and died at Mercy hospital Slaton. An inquest ruled accidental death. Patterson is survived by his parents a brother and a sister.

William C Pryor Obituary Notice in Lubbock
William Carey Pryor 56 of Lubbock died Sunday afternoon in a West Texas hospital from co thrombosis after entering the hospital earlier that day. He was a partner with James L. Quicksall in an automobile supplies firm. Pryor moved to Lubbock in 1930 and helped open a branch in Amarillo. He and Quicksall had been partners since 1925. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Rix Chapel with James Carle officiating. Burial will be in Lubbock Cemetery. He served in World War I and was active in the Kiwanis Club Chamber of Commerce Matador Club and Masonic bodies. He is survived by his wife and three siblings. Out-of-town relatives plan to attend.
