Two Area Men Die In Unusual Wreck Near Friona

A tractor-trailer loaded with cattle skidded and overturned near the Running Water Draw bridge on Texas 214 injuring two men. Wilford E. Sikes of Bovina died at the scene. Clemente Garcia Lopez, 41, also of Bovina, died later at Friona Memorial Hospital. Grady L. Queen, 25, of Friona survived with injuries. Traffic halted for hours as wreckers cleared the bridge.
