Vietnamese and American forces fought the Plei Me action from Oct 19 to 26. North Vietnamese regulars dug in around the camp, then were pressed by U.S. jets, napalm, and armored columns. By week’s end relief forces prevailed with heavy VC losses and captured weapons.
