Goodfellow opened mail Tuesday as 117 letters arrived naming needy children in Lubbock. The organization seeks 7,000 plus gifts of fruit toys and candy for 14 and under children for Christmas morning. Final list may top 10,000. a coupon lists the underprivileged recipients.
A display of memory toys from pioneer days is open at the West Texas Museum on the Tech campus. Located in the Victorian Rooms, the exhibit contrasts with modern gifts and runs through Christmas. The collection, donated by Lubbock residents, is not always on permanent display.
