Kentucky Guardsmen Appeal Denied on Vietnam Duty Ruling
U S District Judge Jack Roberts rejected Kentucky National Guardsmen argument that state militia cannot be sent to Vietnam. Attorney Nathan Zahm said he would appeal. Case questions enlistment contracts and the dual state federal guard system. The judge refused the habeas corpus writ and praised the argument.
