Ray Epps recalls the December 7 1941 Pearl Harbor attack aboard the USS Maryland. He describes the moment bombs exploded the ship’s fear and his near death fear of stored explosives while recovering from a hip injury in sick bay. The Maryland later sailed home for repairs with other battleships.
