Nearly 125000 new telephone directories will be delivered in Lubbock beginning Monday to replace worn volumes. The 196 pages contain 60870 listings for Lubbock and 2150 more numbers than last year, with 14 extra pages for Acuff, Merrell, Ransom Canyon, Shallowater and Wolfforth.
Methodist Hospital and the Texas Tech University School of Medicine reached a full accord on an affiliation after talks led by a joint negotiating team. Dr John Hinchey Tech regent said he will seek formal board approval while Max Caraway said the agreement could be signed today or Saturday.
