A two year old Boulder girl was swept into and traveling 92 to 93 feet through an underground irrigation pipe near Goss Street. Fire Department rescue workers revived her with a resuscitator after cramps and fatigue and a long immersion in the tank of waters. The child's body was recovered as her friends sought help, and she survived the ordeal.

Two Officers Injured In Rash Of Traffic Crashes
Avalanche Journal reports a string of crashes Friday and Saturday injuring 12 people none critically. Police sped to an emergency call and a chase ended when a speeding vehicle ran a red light, colliding with a patrol car and a Reese Air Force Base sergeant’s vehicle at Slide Road and 19th Street. Patrolmen Marvin Sharrick and Kenneth Seales were treated and released, while S. Sgt. Roy D. Gross was admitted to Reese Base Hospital.

Justice Precinct 2 officials counted wet and dry ballots after a Saturday straw vote to gauge liquor questions. In unofficial results 280 opposed legal liquor and 148 favored it.
