Fugitive Pope Captured in Trailer Court Raid

Harry Raymond Pope once listed among the nations ten most wanted surrendered to FBI and local officers during a surprise 4:15 p.m. raid at a trailer court on the Tohoka highway. He faced federal charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, with bond set at 20000 and remand to Lubbock County Jail. Norris Clifton Thompson and Christine Lee Thompson were arrested with him. A supervising FBI agent led the seizure, finding a shotgun and pistol in the trailer.
