Fire damages Texas Tech dorm room in Coleman Hall
A second floor room in Coleman Hall at Texas Tech burned at about 2 55 p m Wednesday heavily damaging the room and leaving wet smoke filled corridors. Most residents were away for sorority rush and no injuries were reported. Damage to the structure estimated at 3000 to 4000 dollars with contents in Room 205 over 1000 dollars. The fire likely started in a mattress possibly from a cigarette.
