Irma Rendon, 13, of Lamesa died at the scene when two pickups collided 2.9 miles northwest of Lamesa on Texas 137. Thirteen others were injured, eight taken to Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa and five to Cook Memorial in Levelland. The crash raised Lubbock County road deaths to 33 for the year.
