A brawl at Pete's Palladium in Plainview ended with 11 people jailed for disorderly conduct after police and deputies broke up the crowd. The incident followed a dance event with several injuries reported to officers.
A $149,999.95 suit has been filed by Adrian Reyna Jr and his wife Mars against Lubbock County over a home auto accident near Shallowater. They allege county negligence for barricading piles of gravel in the roadway on June 22 causing injuries requiring hospital care and potential future medical treatment.
FRANK STANLEY AF Correspondent NDOSO NUM The survivor of a light plane crash west of here Monday is in serious condition at an Albuquerque hospital Lynn Ayers was severely burned while piloting the Cherokee plane that crashed on the Mescalero Reservation. Killed were wife Cathy Bovart Ayers 35 sons Michael 9 and Gregory 12. FAA in Roswell said the flight originated from Rui into Tucson with no further information released. local officials said no youths were aboard. The injured man was rushed to Hondo Valley General Hospital then to Bernalillo County Medical Center burn unit. Funeral arrangements were pending late Monday.
