United Press International reports major Indochina War fighting shifting to Cambodia near Phnom Penh. Communist forces attacked positions north and south of the capital while skirmishes with South Vietnamese troops continued. casualties include 34 communists killed and eight South Vietnamese wounded. a bridge north of Phnom Penh was shelled and Takeo outpost overrun with five killed and 20 missing. US helicopter gunships and Cambodian planes aided the South Vietnamese. Only five of 30 Takeo troops returned to government lines. no Communist deaths reported.
