Bride Dies After Gunshot Wound at Home

Mrs. Guy Davis, 17, wife of a Lubbock patrolman, died at Methodist Hospital after surgery for a gunshot wound sustained at her home on 2206 15th St. Her mother in law and two neighbors reported the shooting around 7 p.m. near their yard. A .32 caliber pistol was found near her feet. Her husband had left minutes earlier to work off duty at the Texas Tech rodeo.
