Simmons elected student body president at Lubbock High

Sugar Can Files Opened In Lubbock District
Sugar canning applications are abundant in the Lubbock OPA district with forms available at the district office the War Price and Rationing board and at two fire stations. Firemen handle applications to ease crowding at the local board and ask applicants to come only in the afternoons. About 150 applications have been received since filing began Monday. No sugar coupons will be mailed for three or four weeks, said George H. Wilson chief clerk of the board.

He was in the European theater since October and was latertaken to a hospital in England with unspecified injuries.
