Woman Dies in Headon Crash West of Lubbock
An El Paso woman, 45 year old Maria Alicia Ortega, died in a two car headon collision about five miles west of Lubbock on Texas 116. Six others were injured and taken to Methodist Hospital, including Maximo Mancias and his three daughters. Ortega was a passenger in Mancias westbound vehicle. This marked the county’s fourth traffic fatality in a week and the 33rd area victim this year. Funeral services are pending.
