At 9 a m the President's physicians report his condition eminently satisfactory with a possible rapid convalescence if no complications arise. Pulse 104 temperature 99.8 respiration 26 and note that mouth readings run about one degree lower than rectal. Attending physicians Mann Waldin Mynter McBurney listed.
Buffalo reports a cheerful morning bulletin on President McKinley as doctors declare him out of the woods and on the road to quick recovery. Dr McBurney asserts no operation needed and notes the danger point has passed while plans for movement to Washington remain unsettled.
Chicago on September 10 Chief of Police ONeill states a woman arrested is believed to be Emma Goldman. She is in custody with a patrolman and en route to the police office after admitting her identity.
Fire swept Parsons property at Billerica line totaling about 150 tons of hay 17 horses 20 cows and many hogs with a carriage shed blacksmith shop and houses burned. Fire blamed on incendiary act with cries of tramp involvement amid repeated losses for contractor C W Parsons dating back to prior fires. Local North Billerica response slow due to late alarm and misidentification of the 5 o clock bell.
In a bustling police court session Judge Hadley dealt with repeat offenders and drunks among three long docketed cases. George T. Spence, charged with setting fire to Lowell Card company, was dismissed due to circumstantial evidence and lack of motive, with defense by John J. Hogan.
Dr McBurney reported the patient is practically out of danger with marked improvement and good symptoms. He cautioned there are still remote risks including blood poisoning and possible abscess formation, but peritonitis danger has passed and recovery is expected.

A minor fire was found in an external air box on the Hamilton print department wall at 7:21 this morning. The shaft vents three stories. friction of the revolving fan is believed to have caused it. The fire was visible from the street, alarm from box 53 summoned units promptly. Workers tore out the box as the fire gained, but had it under control by the time fire crews arrived. Damage remained slight.
The funeral for Mary J Green was held this morning at 107 Adams Street from her sister Mrs Terence Daly's home. Requiem Mass by Rev Fr Walsh at St Patrick's Church featured Pie Jesu by E F Faulkner and Calvary sung by J J Finn. Burial followed at St Patrick's Cemetery with Rev Fr Walsh officiating. service directed by H Molloy and bearers T H Daly Patrick O'Brien John Burns James Kenney William Hart John McCoy.
Frank Sanborn was arrested Monday noon by Officer Lane in this city and will be arraigned in Lawrence on a receiving stolen property charge. In Lawrence, Whisie Robertshaw pleaded guilty to stealing $16 from Mr Welch after a room visit at Hotel Brunswick. Welch found his money missing and the woman locked in the room with the key outside the door. her case was postponed to Wednesday as Marshal O Sullivan seeks another suspect.
