Boston, Oct. 30. An elderly laborer was struck and killed yesterday evening on Washington Street near Dover Street by a northbound belt line car. Motorman James J. Hubbard stopped the car in time. the victim, named Tormery, could not be identified. Witnesses said the man stepped onto the tracks as a southbound car passed and may not have heard the northbound car due to the overhead elevated train rumble and street noise.
Harold W. Church of Douglass 24, famed as a crack hunter, was killed in Worcester when his gun fired as he showed a squirrel to a trained dog. The accident happened as he lowered the dog beside a tree, the blast tearing his left side. Church was well known among Worcester and Boston professional men.

Emanuel Daveler, of Sterling, reports a strange throat injury from a fall while riding a bicycle. He dodged a team, landed headfirst in a ditch, and a three inch high, starched collar cut a gash in his throat but did not sever the windpipe. He was sewn up and plans to abandon high standup collars.
William Mulligan known as Kid Mulligan faced trial for illegally keeping liquor in his room at 110 Prittee Street. Officers testified to beer in the room. Gharron said 12 to 15 men entered the house where beer was found on a Sunday. Witnesses claimed they chipped in for the beer and drank it in Mulligan’s rooms Sunday. defense denied Mulligan’s involvement. Jury verdict reported around 4:20 pm. Other cases included Dow denied roagy abuse and several Lesage brothers charged with liquor violations. Grace Martin pleaded guilty to larceny.
