Mrs. Jane Johnson aged 75 wife of George T. Johnson of 25 Mellen street was struck by a locomotive attached to train 6161 from Fitchburg just before 9 Sunday morning. She sustained severe injuries, both legs amputated, and doctors at Framingham hospital fear she will not survive.
A 12 year old boy Jasper Lyne traveled from Lowell to Red Rock Montana after a relative’s death and visited the police station to bid farewell to Superintendent Micdffatt. He will be tagged for tracking by train conductors to prevent him getting lost.
Danvers Oct. 28 The fresh air treatment for consumptives will be tried at the Danvers insane hospital. A tent has been erected on the asylum grounds and several consumptives are occupying it. The asylum sits on one of the county’s highest hills giving pure invigorating air.
In Methuen street, Joseph Laverriere aged 44, a laborer for W H Fuller, was killed when a heavily loaded market wagon driven by a Merrill son struck him from the rear. Witnesses including Rev Millington and Rev Wilson described the scene as the ambulance took him to Roberts's undertaker. authorities found no evidence of criminal negligence.

Miss Alice Ellis a 41 year old nurse and former governess at Dwight P Wilcox residence Meriden was found dead yesterday morning with a black silk bag over her head and two pints of chloroform in the pan. She wrapped in a golf cape and blanket and had cared for a six year old Wilcox son until January when the child was placed with relatives in Westfield.
