Patrick Heslin sustained a crushed index finger at the Lowell Gas Works this morning. He was taken to Emergency Hospital where surgeons amputated at the first joint. Heslin resides on Adams Street.
David La Plante of 18 Garnet Street sustained a severe cut on the third finger of his right hand at the Eagle foundry this forenoon. Two castings caught the finger, causing a laceration that required ten stitches before he was taken to Emergency hospital for treatment.
