Delegates toured Fort Hill Park and Forsell gave an account of Sweden after Yale, 1898. Sessions were praised for helpful talks, harmony, and lasting benefits.
A large audience filled the First Unitarian vestry for an excellent recital by Mr. F Edmund Ed munds pupils with Mr G F Hamer assisting on Accompaniment. The program featured Mendelssohn choruses and solo numbers, duets by Miss A Sullivan and Mr T Boulger, and selections by Miss Freeman and Miss Sullivan with strong preparation and musical perception.
The program includes Verdi Aria Infelice from Ernani and The Bird and the Rose by Hor rocks. Soloists Gates Coburn Walter Underdown Arthur Munn Mrs Hale Mr H Stocks earn applause. Closing male quartet Goodnight features Edmunds Coburn Munn Paige. Recital marks first of three concerts in Lowell and Lawrence.
George E. McMurray of 467 Canal street Lawrence and George G. Cutler of 415 Canal street Lawrence were arrested by Officer Lennon on Lakeview avenue this afternoon about 2 o clock while distributing liquor advertisements for D. F. Conlan a wholesale dealer at Broadway and Valley streets in Lawrence. They were taken to the police station and locked up. It is said the men were also in Lowell yesterday and returned to Lawrence at night.
The lease favors the city by providing boiler space under the stairway within Huntington hall. In return the city will supply heat to the depot. Earlier plans warned boilers near the hall would need a separate building. Once Dutton street entrance is permitted the hall can be rebuilt without delay.
