Apache sighted off Nantucket in transatlantic race
The American bark rigged yacht Apache, contestant in the Emperor William's cup race, was sighted about 65 miles east of Nantucket lightship by the steamer Princess Alice yesterday. The Apache showed full sails as it headed eastward. No other racers were sighted by the Princess Alice, which arrived today.
