Tornado Wipes Out Snyder Town In Oklahoma Disaster
Snyder Oklahoma a town of about 1000 in Kiowa farmland was virtually wiped out by a tornado last night. Casualties estimated 75 to 100 dead and around 150 injured with many families affected. Oklahoma City Guthrie and others organized relief trains carrying doctors nurses clothing and physicians. Some towns reported further devastation and authorities plan mass relief meetings.

Death toll rises in cerebro meningitis case
Mary Daly, daughter of Patrick F and Caroline J Daly of 6 Auburn Street, died after a week of illness. Two other children in the same family are ill with the same disease, with Dr Wesley Sawyer attending. The funeral was held this afternoon.

Brush and chimney fires kept town fire brigade busy
The fire department answered three alarms today. At 10 30 a brush fire in Dracut near Riverside avenue threatened a barn but was prevented from burning by timely arrival of the apparatus. At 11 a chimney fire on Crosby street caused excitement but no damage. Shortly after 1 o'clock children set a brush heap ablaze behind the Highland house threatening a building owned by Ingham. assistance arrived in time to keep the rear from catching fire.
