Mary A Bean Drowns Herself In Merrimack River
In Merrimack Massachusetts on May 4 the body of Mary A Bean wife of James W Bean of 40 Coolidge street was found in the Merrimack river opposite the pumping station about 6 pm. She had left home in the afternoon and is believed to have taken her own life after recent release from Danvers Insane Asylum where she was treated for dementia. A search led by H C Blakely and Samuel A Bowie located the body near the river's south shore about a quarter mile from her home.
