New York on March 22 report says the boat of the St Nazarier was picked up by the Creole from New Orleans. Six dead bodies lay in the boat and there was no one alive.
Halifax March 22 The steamer Del aware was found six hundred miles out at sea by the Missouri. She had no coal and was brought to Halifax today. Washington March 22 Boyd B. Jones of Haverhill nominated by the President to be United States attorney replacing Sherman Hoar who resigned.

The sessions featured choirs, clergy testimonies, and a strong moral suasion message.
A children's temperance meeting gathered in Huntington hall on Saturday afternoon but poor weather reduced attendance. A second gathering is set for tomorrow at 4 PM with Rev G H Johnson presiding. Mrs Murphy Rev George F Kenngett Mrs Wilson of the W C T U spoke, solos by O J Hackett and Mr Snow, and many children signed the pledge.
Funeral processions from Whipple street and Court street yesterday reflected tight-knit community ties. Patrick Rowe and Winnifred Whitehead were laid to rest in Catholic cemetery with services led by clergy from St. Peters church and local undertaker Rogers overseeing arrangements. Police inspectors learned a team was found in the yard of Beuvachemin on Chelmsford street. The rig, with no identifying marks, was taken to O. W. Peabody's stable for identification. A Reading police telegram later confirmed the stolen team from Saturday night.
In Superior Court March 22 the Moynahan Boston and Maine case faced postponement due to an attorney's absence with sealed verdict to be opened Wednesday. John McMahon sued Michael F. Gookin for false arrest on larceny. plaintiff testified about arrest, confinement, trial, and discharge. Gookin and officers Lane and Crowley testified. Gookin recounted meeting McMahon, a dropped bundle, and his own innocence. Trial resumed at noon recess.
In Judge Hadley’s police court 26 drunks appeared with penalties including fines from 1 to 8 dollars, two on probation, one sent to the city farm, and two jailed. Freeland Secord charged with adultery held for Superior Court. Minnie McMaster guilty of fornication fined 15 dollars. Piche and Bazinais found probably guilty of adultery with bonds set for Superior Court. Mowbray sent to Massachusetts Reformatory for larceny. Grady technically guilty of assault and battery but ordered to pay costs.
Burke Temperance Institute debate society held a successful Sunday discussion on the protective tariff issue. John Ewing and James Dacey spoke for the affirmative while Michael Markham and James McCaffery spoke for the negative.

Lawyer Harry A. Brown has paid to St. John's hospital five hundred dollars as part of a bequest amounting to five hundred ninety dollars from the will of N. M. Wright. The bequest becomes payable only after Mrs. Wright's death.
