J Frank Denning escaped a live wire strike while driving from Lakeview last night as repairs were made near Willow Dale. Riley allegedly pushed Hamblett causing him to strike his head on the curb, an artery cut. Hamblett was treated at the Emergency hospital and went home after dressing.
An Attorney General decision declares Robert W. Saunders not legally appointed as superintendent of Lowell city farm, a civil service issue the Overseers of the Poor must resolve. Saunders will pursue Supreme Court challenge. civil service rules deem the election illegal and require cessation of his employment.
John P. Fagan aged 28 of 18 Newhall Street sustained finger injuries at the Dumas and Co book bindery this morning. Four fingers were caught in a folder at work and he was treated at Emergency hospital where doctors said only nails of the injured fingers would be lost.
