The body lies in J B Currier's undertaking rooms in a blue denim suit with the queue wrapped on his head. Hing, his cousin, mourns his death with apoor sentiment of farewell.

The funeral progressed from his William Street home with Schmidt's mass at St. Peter's Church. James E. Donnelly led the choir and Rev Fr McKenna celebrated.
