The song and dance act had just finished a Nickelodian engagement, with onlookers noting the spectacle near the Gallison house and at the hotel.
The Lawrence Sunday Sun reports Saturday night liquor trade was slower due to cooler weather. Lowellites arrived and departed earlier, aided by police conduct described as genial yet decisive. Bars that were packed a week earlier were more sparse, though still busy, with day officers assisting night staff.

Children's day observed at Grace Universalist Church with a large congregation. Miss Hard and Miss Marie's classes decorated the church with laurel friezes and flowers. Primary children delivered recitations and songs, with eleven children christened and presented leather bound Bibles as keepsakes.

At a meeting of the Lowell mills treasurers it was voted to close the mills on Saturday July 1 at noon and reopen them on the morning of July 6, marking a short shutdown period.
