On the Pacific San Francisco July 25 the transport St Paul has come off dry dock and is being prepared for troops. She will be ready to sail at the end of this week. The Arizona and Scandia will also be ready then.

Sudbury July 25 The Lakeview Assembly Sabbath of 1898 was quietly observed as a day of rest. The morning bells rang later, with an assembly prayer meeting led by Prof George W Pease. Rev A E Dunning of Boston preached at 11, followed by Frank Hutchinson of Framingham Centre in the afternoon.

J L Chalifoux and his family enjoy the summer at Swampscott while Edward Chalifoux departs for New York today on a business trip.
Edward I Boyle a 20 year old employee of Robertson Bros. drowned while swimming from a boat to shore at Long-Sought-for pond in Westford. His body was recovered by Peter Labelle and brought to Low ell by Undertaker Molloy. Boyle, son of James and Boyle, lived at 12 Howard street. He planned a New York trip for vacation but did not return from the outing with G FE Stanley and C H Hanson. The tragedy shocked the family on the third anniversary of a brother’s burial.
