Boston reports state police have information from Barrington that the man arrested there on Tuesday is not Blondin the alleged wife murderer. The suspect offers little detail, officers plan to have Rhoades verify the prisoner, while Norwich sheriff reports a message confirming the man does not fit Blondin's description.
Montreal report says the alleged murderer Blondin may be held by bailiff Vital Charest and Joseph Banville of Matane. The prisoner, who denies his name, shows a brow scar and a tattooed forearm while feigning insanity. In Washington police fear Blondin may be in the city after a harbor official noted a fireman applicant matching the suspect’s description.
Minnie Borger, 16, a Jewish girl, is jailed in Northampton on larceny charges after her brother Abraham Borger accuses her of stealing from his home. She was arrested at a Holyoke priest’s house where she sought preparation to become Catholic. The defense may argue the charge was staged to block her conversion.

Brattleboro Vermont July 19 Morton Starr Cressy of Hartford Connecticut shot and killed his friend and Yale classmate Sidney Bristol of Battle Creek Michigan at 2 40 this morning in a bedroom at Cressys grandmother Mrs P Starrs home Bristol guest of Cressy Cressy woke and thought he was defending against a burglar fired four shots lighting a lamp and found he had killed his friend Bristol died after saying you have killed me Cressy said he thought Bristol was walking in his sleep The two men, Yale graduates of 1900, had entered Harvard law school last fall
Ernest Z eozaya a 24 year old Mexican of wealthy connections attempted to shoot concessionaire McGarvie at the Pan American exposition grounds then killed himself. The incident followed a failed effort to secure work with the exhibitor company. McGarvie was grazed by a bullet. Zeozaya died.
In Pittsfield on July 19 Dr. Paddock testified that the Fosburgh family was fully dressed when he arrived and the house was dark. James Fosburgh said he had not seen burglars, Beatrice gave the same denial, and evidence focused on tissue resistance to bullets. An autopsy was performed later that morning despite objections from Young Fosburgh and the father urged the case proceed.
The yacht Venutzia from Philadelphia capsized in Long Island Sound yesterday afternoon. Five people are believed drowned including owner Arthur Coburn and his two daughters, plus two seamen. Mrs Spanker and the steward were rescued by a tug and landed at New Haven.

In Boston on July 19 Elias Boudrot 62 driven by extreme heat attacked wife Celia with a large knife on their East Brookline Street doorstep. Celia and two daughters Eva 21 and Bertha 18 were wounded. Celia in serious condition, Eva and Bertha treated and sent home. Boudrot jailed in a padded cell, believed violently insane.
In Brockton on July 18 48 year old carpenter George L Bird was found dead in his attic at 543 North Montello Street with a pistol beside him the gun indicating suicide. Medical Examiner Paine and undertakers took charge. Insanity is blamed with possible heat related mental strain noted by friends.
London July 19 Lord Rosebery's Epsom Lad captured the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park for 15000 sovereigns, bringing victory today in a premier flat racing event.

The Society of the Second Church of Christ, Scientist, purchased a lot of over 7000 feet at Laurel Street and Wentworth Avenue to build a new church. The group, about 300 members, currently meets at J C C F hall on Middlesex Street, with many members living in Oaklands.
Officers of the Sixth Regiment M V M form a committee headed by Col. Darling to entertain Col. Rice during his Boston stay. The group, meeting after a week of camp and duties, approved plans for a reception and left details to the committee. Col. Rice led the Porto Rico campaign command.
Albert Stevens of North Chelmsford, about 50, tied to boarders, tried to cut his throat with a butcher knife in his Wanlandt Park house. Neighbors hesitated to enter as he injured his windpipe. he was rushed to St. John's Hospital in Lowell and underwent neck wound surgery. Reports say a drink problem and delusions spurred the act, with Stevens threatening his neighbor Mrs. McKinney earlier that night.
The Boston born Samuel Bentley probate leaves $500 to the Old Ladies’ Home in Lowell, $800 to the William North lodge of Masons for a burial lot in Lowell cemetery for poorer members, and names the Old Ladies’ Home as residuary legatee. Additional sums support fresh air and vacation funds.
A Lowell youth named Joseph Buckley pleaded guilty to a third offense of drunkenness. He had just been released from four months in jail. Police said he was troublesome in South Lawrence last night. Buckley asked for probation, but Judge Vose did not approve and Buckley was sent to Bridgewater.

A party of 35 members and guests from Lowell Orchestral Society traveled by electric from Lowell to Revere Beach for a summer outing. They enjoyed the beach, ate dinner at Sleeper's at 1 pm, and returned to Boston by 7:30 pm for a 6 o'clock dinner at Hotel Mieusset, just before showers.

The fourth annual Matinee club reunion at Bellegrove featured a breezy day with a baseball game between married and single members, won by the married group 2 to 1, plus dinner and a dance with Elvin's orchestra. The delegation returned to the city at 10 o'clock amid cheers for the club.
Capt Alexander Greig, late of the 26th regiment U S W serving in the Philippines, gave a talk before Lowell council No 8 Royal Ar canum. He described life on the islands under a tropical sun and praised soldiers while urging civilizational gains for Filipinos to ease opposition to the United States. He spoke on military life and transport details, making the address entertaining and instructive.
