Eastport Maine January 15 The schooner Martha A Bradley arrived with a cargo of herring from Bay of Islands Newfoundland via Louisburg and Halifax after being reported lost twice. Sailed December 2 from Bay of Islands. Damaged and leaking at Louisburg then halifax voyage endured severe weather and freezing conditions while pumps kept her afloat. Crew exhausted but ship reached Eastport to the relief of anxious relatives.

Aged Man Hurt in Middlesex Street Accident
Stillman Clough of Middlesex Village, among Lowell’s oldest residents, was knocked down this morning by a horse owned by Dr. Leonard Huntress. The horse, driven by a coachman, moved at an ordinary pace and caused a head wound and a shaken condition, though not life threatening. He was returned home on Middlesex street. Clough is about 80 years old.
