Two young boys Raymond Spencer and Lloyd Stott disappeared after playing near the Concord river in North Billerica. Their bodies were recovered about 25 feet apart in eight feet of water, one taken at 2.30 pm by William McBride and the other at 3.50 pm by Herbert Eaton. A large search of the river and surrounding areas followed from Wednesday evening into Thursday, including police from Lowell, with boats, hooks, and holes cut in the ice. The Stott boy was four and the Spencer boy five and a half. both families mourn their losses and arrangements were noted.

James Regan was fined $15 for stealing $4.25 from Martin Fahey on December 15. James Nolan, Martin Bradley, and Thomas Keefe paid $2 fines for drunkenness. Augustus K. Newhall was sentenced to the state farm.
James O'Brien a 22 year old Holyoke employee on the East river Williamsburg side escaped death after falling head first from a 100 foot platform on Kent avenue. He struck a lower 40 foot level and was saved by a fellow worker who caught him by the belt as he began to fall to the street. He lay insensible but was dragged to safety and an ambulance summoned.
Fannie Clifford Brown of Portland Maine died yesterday in San Francisco from pneumonia after traveling from the Philippines to care for her son, who served in the military. She was the sister of Nathan Clifford, late associate justice of the U S Supreme Court.
Supreme court Justice Morton heard a writ of certiorari to compel Worcester voters registrar to discard three ballots lacking official imprint counted for William A. Lytle Republican candidate.
