Four or five armed robbers wrecked the Brewer Savings Bank across the river from Bangor early Aug 29, taking about $300. They fired at residents during their escape across the bridge, as Bangor police and deputies chased them. No injuries reported. a kit of tools was found later in the railroad yard.
