In a police court session Judge Hadley heard multiple cases. William Peterson paid an $8 fine for disturbing a Salvation Army meeting. Daniel Rinn faced a $10.60 fine for assaulting Mary O Hare, his sister in law. Louis Le Cass admitted fare evasion and was fined $10. Thomas J Daley, 18, was fined $5 for drunkenness after an incident at Mountain Rock. Michael Sardiff fined $5 for stealing an apple. Frank Mann and others faced further penalties including probation and workhouse sentences. Charles Lallman, repeatedly accused of illegal liquor sales, was fined $1000 and jailed for four months after police found 18 quarts in his tenement.
Phineas Whiting age 78 died at 28 Mt. Vernon street. Ethel F. Wainwright aged 144 months 22 days buried in Edson cemetery after services at her grandparents William Mason’s home. M Ward Charters aged 81 died at No 64 Nineteenth street with funeral Tuesday at 2 pm at residence. friends invited.
