Mrs Ednah F Banister of Tunbridge Vermont widow of Almon Banister died suddenly this forenoon at her brother O A Brighams home 182 Third street while visiting. Cause heart trouble she had suffered for years. She complained of dizziness yesterday during dinner and fell unconscious late at night dying at 10 o’clock this forenoon. She was 77. Her husband died eight years ago leaving a daughter Mrs Ordway of Vermont. Brigham will take the body to Tunbridge for the funeral.
The street railway baseball team traveled to Glen Forest at 8 this morning for a game with Lawrence. Lawrence won 5 to 4. The street railway squad returned defeated but not disheartened.
Newport R. I. Aug 27 The Independence departed for Boston this morning carrying tow from the tug Gladiator.
The Y M C L plans a moonlit fete at the Butler homestead on Andover street with electric lights fireworks gypsies music and refreshments to raise funds for a new building. Tickets cost 25 cents for dancing and attractions. Trolley cars will run for attendees returning home after the event.
Police inspectors trace two girls accused of administering knock out drops to a sailor last week. Prosecution unlikely because the sailor refuses to testify, saying he reported the matter to protect other strangers who might encounter the two “touchers.”

Mrs Louise Sheridan known as Louise Davenport an actress died in San Francisco Sunday night from cirrhosis of the liver. She had lived in poverty in that city for several years. She was 59, born in Canada, and wife of actor W E Sheridan who trained her into a recognized performer. Since her husband’s death she had left the stage.
