An elderly unknown man about 85 was found unconscious on the railroad between North Chelmsford depot and Middlesex village at 8 20 am. His right arm was severed and a head wound noted. He was taken to North Chelmsford depot, later to St Johns hospital where the arm was amputated at the shoulder. He remained unconscious at 1 30 pm. no identification or money found.
