Rare disease claims life of New Jersey man
Rudolph Fliedner of New Brunswick New Jersey died after a prolonged struggle with pemphigus vulgaris a rare skin disease unseen in the United States before. His skin blistered like a scald and nurses wrapped his body in cotton from May until his death at age 44, after specialists failed to relieve him.
