The Kitson Machine company has installed a new system in Tremont and Suffolk mills that blows cotton from the opening room under the street to the top of a five story mill where the pickers are located. It handles 70 to 80 bales of cotton daily and is regarded as the most complete system in the country. The New England Journal of Commerce notes it as a recent Kitson invention.
