Two electric cars collided on Gorham street Sunday evening near South Highland. A Lynn car moving slowly was rear ended by a faster smaller car. Glass shattered and passengers were shaken but minor injuries reported. The motorman blamed a controller failure that prevented slowing the speed.

Westford rider injured in Thorndike street crash

Seven Hebrews Arrested for Lord's Day Card Game
Seven Hebrews were arrested about ten o'clock Sunday night at 142 Howard street by Lieutenant Brosnan and Officers Fox and Howard on the charge of being present at a game of cards on the Lord's day. Inspectors Donaldson, Goodwin, MaHer and Officer O Connell raided the Middlesex Tavern and captured several cases of beer, three jugs of whiskey and a number of empty beer bottles. Samuel Battrick was arrested in Fall River by Inspector Perron, and brought back to this city Sunday afternoon charged with the larceny of a horse and a wagon, the property of Myer Reubenstein of Lowell. The harness was recovered, but the horse and wagon had been traded.
