Craig spoke on Our Religion of the Past Present and Future, with an eight piece orchestra led by Joseph Madden backing the choir. Winfield G. Merrill, only son of Mas George B. Merrill, died at his Lawrence home Saturday after a long illness. Born June 24, 1861 in Lawrence, he graduated from Lawrence High School in 1875 and Brown University in 1882. He served as managing editor of the Daily American, founded the Sunday Telegram in 1884, and managed the Opera house for seasons. He also served in the First Battalion Light Artillery, ending as adjutant under Maj. Merrill. Mrs Harriet Moulton, widow of Oliver Moulton, former superintendent of Lowell cemetery, died in Boston at 67. The body will be buried in Lowell Cemetery.
The infant daughter of John and Mary Sullivan was laid to rest at 3 pm yesterday at their 276 Adams Street home. Burial followed in the Catholic cemetery with Undertaker Savage in charge.
