G L Laflamme dealer in light groceries left a horse and open wagon near St. Jean Bautiste church Merrimack street at 11 35 this forenoon while entering a house in Decatur street. A frightened horse bolted down the street brushing a team and nearly threw two bicyclists. The runaway struck a wagon in front of the old city hall building, then hit Kirk street and wrecked Laflamme’s wagon while tea and sugar spilled into the air.
Funeral services for Margaret Sullivan were held this morning at nine in the Church of the Sacred Heart with Very Rev Fr Guillard officiating. Burial followed in the Catholic cemetery under Undertaker O'Donnell. Meanwhile the body of Sarah Spain from Fitchburg will arrive tomorrow for burial in the Catholic cemetery.

William Semm of 457 Broadway street, employed by Lowell Weaving Co on Walker street, had an arm crushed by machinery this morning before 10. He suffered a compound fracture and was taken by ambulance to St. John's hospital. In a separate incident on Sunday, Henry Mongrain fell from a canoe in the Concord river but was saved by Joseph Fielding and James Wilmot. they went over the falls during the rescue and were saved by Jesse Whitworth with no serious injuries beyond a cold bath.
Inspectors Allen and Laflamme arrested William S. Close alias J W Marston J W Stevens J W Johnson at his Middlesex street room after a months long manhunt. He planned to publish duplicate mileage leaves and sell counterfeit Boston and Maine tickets with 3000 slips of coupons. He admitted intent to travel to England to market the machine and confessed profits from selling eleven of the 15 prepared trip books. Authorities seized plates and coupon stock for evidence.
